Tucson - Desert Museum

Situated a few miles West of Tucson is the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Part zoo, part botanical garden, this lovely museum displays the rich and wonderful flora and fauna of the Sonoran desert. Rattlesnakes of every variety, hummingbirds, mountain lions, coyotes, and javelina (small creatures resembling a larger version of a pot-belly pig) fill exhibits, along with every conceivable cactus and desert plant, including acres of majestic saguaro. My favorite part? The prairie dogs of course!
