Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Review

(If the image doesn't appear, refresh the page in your browser).
Usually when I review something it is because I really really like it. Rarely do I take the trouble to publicly express extreme dissatisfaction over a product. But here's an exception. After many months of frustration with my Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer, I'm finally chucking it for a Kensington wireless mouse. I use a Mac, OSX, if that makes a difference. I have two main complaints about the Microsoft mouse.
1. It eats batteries faster than an old Sony Walkman. Every 2 or 3 weeks I have had to replace 2 double A batteries. What's up with that?
2. The killer. The mouse gets hung up. It doesn't track well. I move the mouse and the curser doesn't move. I usually have to bang on the desk with it to get it to work right.
I have gone into the mouse configuration and adjusted everything I could. I have reset it a zillion times with its receiver. This is ridiculous. Today I took a wireless Kensington mouse that I keep on hand for my PowerBook, plugged it in and it works fine. Fast, responsive, has a scroll bar - everything I need. Goodbye Microsoft mouse!
Update on mouse situation. Well, the Kensington mouse, although ne'er a problem while using it with my G4 laptop, gave my desktop G4 Mac problems as well. Specifically the computer wouldn't wake up after going to sleep. I would have to turn it off and then on again and reboot. Probably some issue with out of date firmware. So the latest solution is I'm back to a wired mouse - the Logitech Wheel mouse with infrared. It works great and gives me the precision that I need when I do photo editing.

The best mouse I have had is a logitech wireless TRACKMAN, a sort of cross between a mouse and a trackball, with the ball underneath the theumb and the buttons similar to a mouse. its the second one down here, I also use OSX

Best mouse I ever used is the Razer Boomslang. Razers new line is pretty kewl as well.
I have the problem at work with a Microsoft optical mouse, where it needs to be rebooted (i.e. unplugged from usb, plugged back in) every so often. Kinda figures I guess since I use linux so I don't need to reboot microsoft finds a way to make something else need a reboot :/
