Movable Type 3.2 Beta is Here!
Six Apart released the public beta of MT version 3.2 today. This new release of MT brings some welcome features - Trackback moderation, global comment and trackback management, administrative control for those with multiple blogs on the same installation, spam protection, and user-interface improvements throughout the application. Here's some more information on the new features including improved documentation. Now that's a long time coming. (But hey, why isn't LMT or Movalog mentioned in the "But I love to read" section? Does one have to be in print to be considered an author of useful MT info? From my server logs I can see that thousands of tutorial pages are printed out from this site every month. That should count for something, eh?)
Have you found the tutorials at Learning Movable Type helpful? Please consider linking to LMT at http://www.learningmovabletype.com/ . Thanks!

Arvinds and your tutorials are very helpful for people who want to dive into mt-blogging and learning more about customization. You provide a lot of helful tips and hacks.
In my opinion your domains are always a great part of the mt knowledge base. Hope, that MT-Community will grow more and more.
BTW, you don't have to be sad, time will come. :))

You're absolutely right, Elise. That was a total oversight. We'll add you today.

When I first read the Improved Documentation page and got to the "but I love to read" section, I laughed out loud. A web-based app that doesn't recognize any online resources? Ha!

I'm glad that's been amended. Whenever I try to do something new, I always end up getting the best explanation here.

Hi Joerg - thanks for the kudos!
Hi Jay - you know I love you, and Six Apart, but I'll believe it when I see it. :-)
Hi Dan - yep, that's what I thought too.
Hi Ginny - well, it hasn't been amended yet; I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Elise,
Part of what makes LMT.com a classic - incredibly useful - is how it exists within the same environment as the subject it explores.
It's both laboratory and experiment - in many ways it is a model new media resource. As far as Movable Type-related content - it's priceless. Period.
While I would proudly display your printed title on the handiest shelf, it couldn't compete with what you've already created.
The ability to extract only the topics I need, and re-assemble the material according to specific usage scenarios, allows me to invent custom-annotated LMTs for myself and my clients.
A printed edition would certainly be a well-deserved trophy, but you can't have it open in a browser tab while you work!
Congratulations to you, Arvind, and your contributing authors - you guys set a Standard!

Elise, I can't thank you enough for creating this wonderful resource. I know, for a fact, that I wouldn't have accomplished half of what I have with my blog, if it wasn't for you. Thank you so much!
Keep up the good work! :-)
